Pregnancy and Birth Care
$1,400.
This includes a free first-time meeting; after this, you would decide if you would like me to support you as your doula.
- Each client receives my Welcome packet, which has information, tips, and resources to prep for labor, breastfeeding, and parenting.
- You will have unlimited texts and calls.
- I will meet you at your home for two prenatal visits.
- We will discuss your birth plan, and I will give you a template to write your birth preferences.
- I offer a condensed childbirth course during our meetings.
- You will have access to my book library. I also love sending over research and videos depending on your needs.
- I will be on a 24/7 call for you 2 weeks before your expected due date until you have your baby.
- I will attend your birth during early or active labor, either at your home or when you are admitted to the hospital.
- I will stay with you 1-2 hours after your baby is born and will leave once I feel like you and your family are well taken care of.
- I will visit you at your home for one prenatal visit. This is about 1-2 hours. We talk about your birth experience, and I can help support you with questions.
Postpartum Support
$25-30/hour.
This service is mostly an add-on for birth clients and not a separate service unless we meet before the birth of your baby.
The rate depends on distance and the number of hours you would like support for.
- I would help tidy your home.
- I help ensure all of your basic needs are met.
- I can cook and prepare meals for you and your family.
- I can help you identify postpartum anxiety and depression.
- I can help care for the baby and answer any questions you may have.
- If you have older kids, I can help with them as well.
- My role is to take care of you.
*A postpartum doula is always present in the home with a parent.
Insurance
I accept most Kaiser Permanente insurance plans. I recommend that you contact them to confirm the exact details of your specific coverage. I have successfully billed Kaiser in the past.
The good news is that as of 2025, many insurance providers have started covering doula care. I've worked with many families who have been successfully reimbursed for my services. To get started, I recommend calling your insurance provider and asking about your plan's coverage for doula services. After I receive your payment, I will provide you with the documentation and support you need to receive reimbursement for doula care. I will do everything I can to help you get the coverage you're entitled to.
Discounts
The cost of a doula shouldn't be the reason why you don't have one with you during pregnancy and birth. If you are really struggling to pay the $1,400 we can come up with a plan, care, and price that works for you.
- I can offer a payment plan
- I can offer discounts for families with Wic, EBT, or Medi-cal.
- I can offer discounts for a scheduled c-section, or a planned homebirth in Galt.
I am looking forward to meeting with you and supporting you during one of the most memorable times of your life! You should feel loved and cared for during your pregnacy and birth.
